Jacqueline Fernandez grew up in Bahrain, Manama. She is Sri Lankan and comes from a diverse ethnic background. Jacqueline Fernandez's mom Kim and her father Elroy have both been Malaysian. Her brothers are younger and one older sister. In the 80s, her parents emigrated to Bahrain in protest against the civil war on Sri Lanka. This is why she was both born and raised in Bahrain. When she finished her studies in Bahrain, she was awarded a Scholarship to pursue a degree at the University of Sydney, where she earned a degree in Media and Communications in Sydney, Australia. The love of languages and cultures inspired her to enroll in the Berlitz Language School, a school in which she improved her French as well as Arabic in addition to learning Spanish. Miss Sri Lanka 2006 competed for Miss Universe 2006 as well as Miss Universe 2006 when she won the title in 2006. As a result of winning Miss Sri Lanka in 2006 Padukone started her career in the world of television. She hosted the show Lanka Business Report which focused on Sri Lankan Business. Padukone's father is badminton-player Prakash Padukone. Padukone has been raised both in Copenhagen as well as Bangalore. When she was a teenager she competed in badminton at National level competitions. She later resigned her career in the sport to pursue a career as a model. Padukone has Mangalorean origins and speaks Konkani as her native language. Padukone Village is situated inside Kundapura Taluk within the Udupi District of Karnataka located in India. Her father, Prakash Padukone, is an ex-badminton player with world-class fame, while her mother is a travel consultant.
